Bunchrides was first launched in 2012 as a group cycling app designed to connect local cycling communities in Melbourne by making it easier to find and organise rides.

As the app uptake grew over the years, Bunchrides was due for a redesign in 2020. The legacy design was clunky and had a lot of usability issues.
